Carlton Draught from Australia produced a very entertaining "Sky Troop" video that is currently making the rounds on the internet. Many people talk about wanting beer to rain down from the heavens, but most likely not the way it is featured in this video.

Destructive guerrilla marketing
Will it blend is a fairly popular feature on youtube and sometimes the question is who actually gets more benefit from this guerrilla marketing activity. Clearly Blendtec, the company who makes the blenders and who is behind the site gets a lot of exposure and brand awareness, but what about those companies whose products find a very public demise in the blender? For example, the "will it blend-iPhone" has well over 4,000,000 views and over 12,000 comments, and the blend master clearly loves his iPhone.

Dude
This commercial for Bud Light is proof that sentences as means of communication are way overrated. With 1,791,441 views in roughly 2 months on youtube it also is proof that viral marketing works when the subject matter is good.
And just in time for the Superbowl season, we have a football version.

Consumers guerrilla marketing for you
When consumers take marketing in their own hands and design ads and marketing for you, then you know that you have a great brand. Check out this great Mac iPhone video that showed up on youtube. It did not come from the Mac folks, but it looks so great it should be an official ad.
Expect to see it soon on website you visit, or an an e-mail friends will forward to you.

Integrating a viral marketing campaign
Samsung Mobile has an interesting new viral video on youtube to promote their new ultra thin millimetres phones. The video is done extremely well and will surely spread like a virus throughout the internet, but it would be smart if Samsung would have integrated the final destination site a bit more to the video. The static millimetresmatter.com site explains the video, but then goes straight to the commercial Samsung Europe site where no reference to the video can be found.
