Nutella, Nutella and more Nutella

The old saying "too much of a good thing is still too much" certainly applies here. One man faces a 750 gram jar of Nutella with over 4,000 Calories, 400 grams of sugar and 200 grams of fat and eats it all without liquid support from any beverage. So is Furious Pete doing guerrilla marketing for Nutella, Overeaters Anonymous or another self help group?

Dark Side of VW

Apparently Volkswagen opposes key European needed to protect the planet from climate change. You can join the Rebellion with Greenpeace to show VW the right way, well, away from the Dark Side that is. Nice follow-up to the VW Force ad introduced just before the Superbowl.

That is a very scary space craft

Ants - not in your pants

While walking through the South baggage claim area in the Atlanta airport we noticed tons of ants crawling along the ceiling and while this clearly could have been an art installation of sorts, the marketing mind immediately saw a guerrilla marketing effort for a pest control service or product such as Orkin or Terminix. But we were in a hurry and did not investigate the huge ants further.

Vacation time

This isn't a blog update about some vacation guerrilla marketing effort, we are just letting you know that we are not blogging this week because we are on vacation. But vacation isn't endless and we will return on June 27th with refreshed thoughts.

Zero is a very beautiful stop motion animation film by Christopher Kezelos who recently relocated Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles. While not intended as such, this film is a nice self promotional piece and a business card of sorts for this director. We are convinced though that someone smart will snag this talent.

Such an adorable Zero

The Prize

To launch the new Honda Civic in Canada a huge cereal box was placed in a big square and featured the car as a desirable prize.

My, that is a big cereal box!

Apple Ambush

With a new huge Apple store about to be opened in the Mönckebergstraße in Hamburg, Germany some folks thought it might be humorous to "stick it to the man" with a bit of a guerrilla marketing ambush effort. The Microsoft wave is not quite correct, but that is apparently planned, and either way, we know what it stands for.

Not sure how long this stayed up there

No tankers

Notankers is a Canadian non-profit that wants to ban oil tankers from Canada's Pacific North Coast. They printed interesting posters using an environmentally friendly, water-soluble ink and in a little guerrilla marketing action placed them around Vancouver,BC to raise awareness for their cause. Then it was time to wait for the rain, and that is no problem in Vancouver.

A very sad image

Inside a washing machine

To show people how the Ariston washing machines really work, the Ariston folks built a huge one and showed videos taken inside a real one. Well, you go check it out and you'll see what we mean with this guerrilla marketing effort.

Get inside, it is very interesting.
