Got wood
Huge chunks of wood have been placed in various locations in Southern Germany and most folks seemingly don't really know what they are about. Apparently they don't really care either that is says "this is not meant as a resting place." Hmmm, got wood, but no answers about this guerrilla marketing effort.

Make this Challenge
The Challenge Copenhagen event is using a 30 second spot to illustrate how to "make this the Challenge of your life in only 30 seconds...." and entice folks to challenge themselves, ideally by signing up for the race. Well, if every 3.8k swim, 180k bike and 42k run would go by this fast, surely more folks would want to enter.

Gravity, meet your ...
Gravity is certainly a tough opponent but it appears that Asics has managed to find the archenemy of gravity. Well, we should maybe say the seemingly the gel-blur33 has managed to defy it.
So who is your archenemy?

Shaky, shaky, shaky, shaky
The Allstate commercial below isn't really about guerrilla marketing, but when a spot goes over 500,000 views on youtube we think it deserves some love here. But we certainly don't promise that. The Allstate spot here is part of the popular Mayhem series and is very catchy. We keep saying "shaky, shaky, shaky, shaky."

Orange power
Guerrilla marketing campaigns have to relate to the products or services a brand is trying to promote, and that is really true for all marketing efforts. The French Tropicana Orange electronic billboard leaves no doubt that this Natural Energy campaign hits close to home.
Great idea and beautiful execution.

Even dinosaurs like pasta
A stunning development came out of Southern Germany where researchers found that some dinosaurs seemed to enjoy pasta as a source of nutrition. Especially the Alb-Gold variety it appears. With an exhibit of various prehistoric animals in the greater Reutlingen area, the perfect Spaetzle placement makes us hungry too.

Algarabia animation
Nice spot for Unicef by AlgarabÃa Animación a Spanish animation shop. They seem to have flown a bit under the radar, but their work really should get more love and sharing.

Hot Wheels fun
All of a sudden all kinds of Hot Wheels guerrilla marketing efforts are showing up and it certainly looks like someone is having quite a bit of creative freedom and also a decent budget to get it done. Plus a love for overpasses. Brings back great memories.

This was certainly not a simple guerrilla marketing stunt

Forget being anonymous
We all have already freely given up quite a bit of personal information on sites like facebook, and while we think we only give up what we want, other people know more about you than you might think. It isn't quite so easy to be anonymous these days, unless you are hiding in a closet 24/7.
It would appear that you are pretty anonymous in the crowd from this camera position at Barack Obama's Inaugural Address

Well, not really with this Gigapan camera pointing at you, and yes, you can zoom in even closer to see more details.

Look out for the frogs
In southern Germany performance artists were dressed up like frogs and hopped along to stencil green frogs onto the road. This is the time of year when real frogs and toads are crossing the roads and the painted frogs should catch the attention of the drivers. As it turned out the larger green frogs caught the interest of the police who until not too long ago also were dressed in green.
