Monster snow globe
Maybe this should be called a MINI snow globe, but with that size that might not sound like a correct description. But the new MINI Countryman is certainly inside it as part of a guerrilla marketing stunt in front of Macy's in New York City to promote the pending arrival of said vehicle. Those crazy MINI marketing kids.

It is all in the presentation
Trash is trash, but it can seemingly look more beautiful when packaged correctly. Yes, just like marketing for other goods, it is also about the packaging for trash and folks in Auckland, New Zealand seem to understand that concept. Bushy hedge looking trash bags were part of the "Beautify your City" campaign and the results look quite amazing.

Even if lined up in a somewhat orderly fashion, this does not look good.

Now that is quite a bit more attractive and much less obvious

Let us just hope that folks don't want to produce more trash to create a nice long bushy hedge.

Content, content, content
Marketing content needs to be interesting no matter what the medium is, and sometimes a very simple board in front of your business will do the trick. It will be hard to walk past this attention grabbing frilly lilly ad without feeling warm and fuzzy and reaching for that camera phone. Or more importantly - reaching for the wallet and getting that Brazilian or any of those other fine optional styles. Very nice details on those Santa hats - ho ho ho.

Close your eyes and ...
Very interesting ad concept for BMW motorcycles uses the "look in the bright light and close your eyes" effect. But unlike in nature, the audience in the specially prepared theater experienced the BMW logo in an interesting fashion.
You don't want to close your eyes during this

But during the ad closing the eyes will reveal this
Thank you John M Jones

Coffee parachutes
Here is an example of work we did a little while back and some of you might have forgotten. Fine samples of Coffees of Hawaii arrived via "parachute" at various nice neighborhoods and in some busy touristy areas. This guerrilla marketing campaign came with a friendly reminder that coffee from coffeesofhawaii.com can get shipped to the homes of customers at the frequency and quantity they desire. Plus of course these samples were placed by hand in a very deliberate and calculated manner and were not randomly dropped from the sky.

Frozen dreams
Paradores is a Spanish tourism partnership and they might be able to turn your frozen dreams a reality with a very fine guerrilla marketing idea. Go to the Ice Xmas site and guess correctly when the ice cube will be melted and you could win the key that is currently frozen in "space." The key will then give you access to certain room at Christmas time. Hopefully in a warmer climate of course.

Well, when will this ice cube release the key?

What are you doing with your new facebook profile?
Have you played around with the new facebook profile. Nir Refuah of McCann Digital shows what interesting stuff can be done with some creative thoughts. But then again, if folks like Nir can't do it, then who can?

The video that matches the profile. Very nicely done.

Respect returns respect
Migros is a very nice super market in Switzerland and the beautiful Jung von Matt Respect Nature spot is a good example why people shop there. "Respect nature and some day nature will return the favor" is the slogan.
But in all reality, respect nature all the time and don't expect anything in return.

An inside look
We all would like to know what is actually inside Barack Obama and other folks in the news, and when you read the Swiss SonntagsZeitung you apparently get all those details. Well, that is at least what this ad campaign seems to promise. Either way, go read at least a Sunday news paper.

Always on camera
Who needs Ashton Kutcher when you can get this Hungarian stop motion subject to promote Nikon cameras? Beware though, someone is about to lose his shorts. Final words roughly translate as "Do you know how many pictures you can take in 3 years? We don't know. It's your decision, you can take as many as you want."

Uhu sticks for sure
If you want some glue in Germany you tend to ask for Uhu, kind of like requesting a Kleenex in the USA when you want a tissue. That popularity though hasn't stopped Uhu from advertising and they tend to do pretty nice work. The billboard below with the old school look makes it appear that Uhu lasts pretty much forever, or as they would say in Germany"Ewig und 3 Tage."
