NUUN ambient marketing

At the 2008 Interbike Show in Las Vegas, NUUN sports nutrition used an ambient marketing approach to show how easy it to carry a big amount of electrolytes while doing your next workout. A small tube of NUUN contains 8 tablets of NUUN with a ton of electrolytes, and the Interbike Show in Las Vegas is the largest bicycle trade show in North America and allows exhibitors to reach over 10,000 targeted retailers, buyers, and journalists from over 60 countries.

Basically you can carry one of these:

Guerrilla marketing on the skinny

An interesting guerrilla marketing idea for Slim Fast shows that not all marketing concepts have to be huge in budget or physical size. Try sitting your fat ass on that bench.

Air up that inflatable and go!

Nice guerrilla marketing campaign for Arby's in the greater Atlanta area through the use of "accidentally" placed balloons with the Arby's logo. The people who bought the billboard certainly can't complain either, because they now get exposure and attention they would not have had without that little stunt.

Bugman, meet your maker!

This great viral marketing spot for the MINI Cooper Clubman has already almost 100,000 views on youtube. Bugman, come and meet your maker, or should we say, come and meet the Clubman?

Say no to pixelation

To promote the high-def features of the Leica D-Lux 3 from Meister Camera, a life-sized, pixelated dog was placed outside a Meister Camera shop with the sign: "See it in more detail. Leica D-Lux 3." Very nice ambient marketing effort.

Someone's loss is usually someone else's gain

As the markets around the world scrambled today and lots of people lost their jobs, opportunist head hunters and news paper folks saw easy ways to make some gains. With Lehman Brothers bankrupt, Merrill Lynch sold and AIG in trouble, the news must have been so surreal that they wanted to read about it in the paper.

What a Zoo!

To promote the Antwerp Zoo, a nifty guerrilla marketing campaign with the slogan "Here in this city, the Zoo is waiting for you" was integrated into various road markings in and around the city of Antwerp, Belgium.

The Naked Truth

Are we talking about the Naked Truth or the Bare Facts here? How about an interesting ambient marketing campaign for Blue Shield of California in Los Angeles, CA to make people aware that 7.7 million folks in California are without health coverage. Nice part of this campaign is that it is re-usable and transportable and will soon find a new exposure place

Snip that rascal

What kind of marketing is a person to do whose business is circumcision? Ismet Dural in Istanbul, Turkey was in that predicament and with the help of some smart guerrilla marketing he got a pretty cool solution. But we of course hope that his circumcisions won't be done with a little rip instead of a snip.

Drink Milk - get strong

Well, drink Anando Milk in India, and then you may get power to move sections of skyscrapers. That at least is the concept of this fairly clever ambient marketing campaign.

Drinkable water guerrilla marketing

In Belgium the Red Cross worked with Studio Brussels to create awareness about drinkable water needs in certain African countries. Their unorthodox but effective guerrilla marketing campaign utilized a black boy who visited various TV studios during the shows and drank the water meant for the TV personality or his/her guest/s. Sweet.

Some folks might frown on this as not being politically correct, but hey, PC is a fairly subjective term. :-)

Bye bye cellulite

To promote their new GOOD-BYE CELLULITE product, Nivea was present during Miami Fashion Week in South Beach with a few GOOD-BYE CELLULITE sofas. It is an interesting guerrilla marketing concept indeed as surely the fashion world is utmost concerned about cellulite, but setting these sofas up in various Walmarts would give the folks at Nivea a much LARGER target area.
