To promote the new Lego Education Center in Brisbane, Australia utilized the safety bubble-mats on steps and foot paths around the city. They added a bit of color and a logo and bam, done.

The "safety bubble mats" weren't put there by Lego. :)
They're put there by the Brisbane City Council for the blind to provide tactile information about intersections etc.
Lego has just coloured in a few of the blocks and put their logo beneath. Still, great idea though! :)
